I have 16 + years experience as a professional artist in the animation television and game industry. For the past 6+ years to present, I have been working on Mobile Apps, Social Gaming and virtual worlds with Fortune 500 global brands geared for GenZ, Millenials and family audiences. I have played a large creative role in projects such as Spark City World (internal Fuel project), NFL, Justice, Hasbro, Warner Bros, DC Kids, Mattel, DreamWorks, Geox, and most significantly I played a major role in McDonalds (Europe) for 4 years which consisted of many partner brands such as Cut The Rope, How To Train Your Dragon 2, Peabody and Sherman, Tin Tin, Puss In Boots, Ice Age, Pokemon, Spiderman, Barbie, etc. (far too many to list here).

My role in the animation industry is extensive. I started working while still in school, building my skills from the ground up. Over the course of 10 years I was (and still am) a very loyal and dependable employee. I worked my way up from Ink & Paint, Compositing, to a Lead Character Designer and Supervisor. I was also the Lead Character rigger using Flash; being one the first in the company to use this technology and train others as we ramped up into the digital world of animation. I introduced many cost saving techniques for the company and shared my ideas with clients and staff. Our build technique eventually became our successful trade secret to pump out television shows quickly. It was a monumental achievement in my career! I wore many hats during this time, working day and sometimes through the night. I Played a large role in pipeline, schedules and budgeting while overseeing quality of work . I was very much hands on with designing key characters and builds. Having high energy and determination to push myself as an artist and learn new techniques to share internally with others – I loved it, and I’m so proud of the work I did! My colleagues and I were a powerhouse team!
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2338771/

During the 2009 recession I was forced to move on and worked 6+ years as a game artist and mobile app artist for a digital agency. I was hired as the new Lead Illustrator for Spark City World which was already established. With my Flash knowledge, I revamped the build templates for avatars and props, shaving 2+ days off of build time using similar techniques I had used at my previous employment. During this time I had to research the latest trends and fashion and use them in our clothing, hair & prop assets. Don’t tell anyone, but I even animated some props. 😉 I created isometric backgrounds, hundreds of avatar assets and props while at the same time, I trained Junior illustrators how to use the rig templates and checked quality of illustrations & animations before implementing into the game.

As a lead illustrator on licensed projects, I have worked on Augmented Reality projects, several avatar creators which required hundreds of assets, Character Concept art, and Game Pitches. Many of these projects I have taken on as the sole illustrator working closely with the director, designers, developers and the executive producer. Client feedback or revisions are taken seriously with red carpet treatment. As the Lead on McDonalds I would dream up what some of the games would be; based on assets provided by clients (if there were any). Working with the game designer to create simple quizzes, puzzles, and many other simple games. From there I would decide what additional assets would be required and delegate amongst the illustration team. I also created extensive animation requirements needed for the games while working closely with directors, designers, developers, animators, and producers. I also helped the director give feedback/revisions where needed. As you can imagine, I have to be very flexible with the style of illustrations required for the various brands I’ve had the pleasure of working on. Some assets would be provided to us and from there the creative team and myself would be required to draw additional assets/characters at different angles using the branded style-guides. I feel very blessed to work on such important brands and I take a lot of pride in the work I do.

Colleagues would describe me as fun, approachable, hard working, organized, open to ideas, and having a strong eye for detail & quality.

Specialties: Character Design, Character Concept Art, Character Rigging, Avatar Creator games, Isometric Backgrounds, game assets/props

Hobbyist & Aspiring Entrepreneur

I really enjoy digital painting, crafting & cardmaking in my spare time. This allows me to do some traditional and digital artwork. In order to fulfil my desire to craft and draw, I run a hobby shop on the side called Redonkadoodles. This also includes organizing a design team who promote my products through You Tube and other websites across the world. I also promote my own products through my own crafts. It can be a lot of work and dedication, but it isn’t REALLY work if you are having fun! I currently have 800+ fans, many of which I have grown so close to! I have temporarily put my stamps on hold, and I am working hard to create tangible craft supplies and other new products to expand my online store and explore new opportunities for 2017.

Personal

Growing up with 3 brothers, in a little town on a small farm, has made me a bit of a tomboy. I grew up playing the classic Nintendo video games, and also played hockey and baseball with “the boys” outside on farm fields and in leagues. Once in a while I’d sneak away to draw in my room, or paint my face with makeup. Today, Digital Painting is my passion! As much as I am still considered “one of the boys”, I love girlie things and drawing girlie subjects such as fairies, celebrity likenesses or whatever inspires me. When I’m not cleaning the house or playing with my kids, you will find me at the computer learning new things and applying them to my personal digital paintings! My craft hobby, allows me the freedom to draw whatever I desire outside of my career. I like to be tastefully edgy and humorous with some of my images because I love making people laugh. In my spare time I enjoy making handmade cards for friends and family. I use Copic markers and Pro markers to colour them. Selling images to fans around the world is something I’m very proud of, so they too can enjoy my work to give to their friends and family.

16+ Years Experience My current title is Lead Illustrator & Animation Supervisor.
